On the following pages is a list of the most commonly seen patent dates
stamped on fishing reels. This is not a list of all fishing reel patents, only
those that you might find on a fishing reel. The date is followed by the patent number and patent
holder. If you have a patent date on your reel you should copy the number and
then go to the Patent Office data base to search for the patent. Just paste the
number into the appropriate box on their
patent number search page.
